Michelin Star Chef joins Black Boys Inn!!

The Black Boys Inn is delighted to announce the appointment of Michelin Star chef Chris Lelliott, who will be taking charge of the kitchen from the beginning of June.

Patron of the Black Boys Inn, Adrian Bannister, said ‘he was delighted that a chef of such talent and pedigree was joining the team’.

Chris has a star studded background, working at some of the most prestigious establishments in the UK; as sous chef at the Chewton Glenn, he assisted in re-gaining the Michelin star and then duly repeated the process at Gravetye Manor!

After a period in France under 3star Michelin Chef Christophe Cussac, he was appointed Senior Sous chef under Michel Roux at the world renowned Waterside Inn. Subsequently he became Michel Roux’s consultant chef and assisted the creation of several cookery books, travelled  the world on his behalf, presenting live T.V cookery demonstrations as well as helping in the development of Mr Roux’s cookery school (an aspect to be developed later at the Black Boys Inn)

Chris said ‘I am looking forward to building upon the Black Boys Inn’s great reputation for good food at reasonable prices, as well as introducing some of my signature dishes over the next few months’.

Dish such as, Seared Diver Scallops with Caramelised Pork Belly and minted Pea Essence and Hot pear Soufflé with Rum and Raisin Ice Cream.
